Hello All -
I'm busy organizing my personal and business affairs so that I can report aboard the Grande Caribe for the 2009 cruise season. My work period will last for the next 4 months of more or less consecutive days & nights operating the passenger vessel the Grande Caribe for American Canadian Caribbean Line as First Officer/Relief Captain.
The Grande Caribe (GC) is just finishing a complete "re-fit" or renovation of the ship after about 10 years of service. I have not yet seen the finished product as it has been about 45 days since I was last aboard. I'm told it will look great with many improvements that I will elaborate on in a later post.
Leaving home and making sure that my responsibilities will be covered while I'm away is a daunting task that will keep me up long into the night(s) for the next couple of days...
